HelloAsso and toGaether: who does what?
It is not one or the other. HelloAsso is the payment solution for associations; toGaether is the management tool that connects to it. Here is how the work is divided, in plain terms.
HelloAsso: collecting payments
HelloAsso lets an association collect payments online for tickets, membership fees and donations. The service is free for the association: it is funded by a voluntary contribution suggested to the payer at checkout.
It is the right tool for payment, which is why toGaether does not try to replace it.

toGaether: managing the association around the payment
A payment collected is only the beginning. It has to be linked to an event, found again in the accounts; you need to know who is a member, check tickets at the door and produce the report the school asks for. That is toGaether's role.
Treasury: entries, receipts, expense claims, FEC (the French standard accounting export)- Members: board roles, membership fees, membership card

How the two connect
The association links its HelloAsso account to toGaether. Ticketing and membership fees are then collected by HelloAsso, and the income arrives in the association's treasury, linked to the event or the membership concerned.
toGaether takes no platform commission on these payments.
When HelloAsso alone is enough, and when it no longer is
An association that sells a few tickets a year and keeps its accounts without difficulty can stay with HelloAsso alone. The need for a management tool comes with volume: several events, expense claims, a board that changes every year, a school that asks for accounts.
