Child safety
Our zero-tolerance policy on child abuse, how to report, and how to reach us.

01App and publisher
This page describes the commitment of toGaether, available on the web (togaether.me) and in the iOS and Android apps, against child sexual abuse and exploitation.
App publisher
Gaether Inc.
Société par actions simplifiée à associé unique (SASU)
9 Rue de Malabry, 92350 Le Plessis-Robinson, France
This policy applies across the whole platform: messaging, photo galleries, posts and profiles.
02Zero tolerance
toGæther applies zero tolerance to any content or behaviour involving child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), whether images or videos (CSAM), grooming, or sextortion.
These contents and behaviours are prohibited without exception, including when shared as a joke or in a stylised form (drawing, generative AI). Any violation results in the content being removed and may lead to the suspension or deletion of the account involved.
03Reporting a message or a photo
Anyone can report content directly in the app, without leaving the conversation or the gallery:
- Message: press and hold the message, then tap “Report”.
- Photo: in the gallery viewer, tap the flag icon.
- Profile or post: the same reporting mechanism is available from the profile menu and from post comments.
You are asked to pick one of six reasons, along with a free-text comment:
- Inappropriate content — covers sexual content and anything endangering a minor;
- Harassment;
- Spam;
- False information;
- Copyright infringement;
- Other, with a required explanation.
Reporting in the app remains the fastest channel; a dedicated email contact is given below.
04Blocking a user
From a user's profile or a conversation, you can block them: they can no longer contact you or see your profile. Your blocked users are listed under Settings → Data, and can be unblocked at any time.
05How reports are handled
Every report goes into the toGæther team's moderation queue for review. A report still open after 24 hours triggers an automatic alert to administrators (checked every 4 hours).
Depending on the outcome of the review, we may remove the reported content, suspend or delete the account responsible for the violation, and keep the material needed as evidence where legally required.
06Reporting to the relevant authorities
In addition to the measures taken on the platform, any content or behaviour amounting to child sexual abuse or exploitation is reported to the relevant authorities:
- in France, to the PHAROS platform (internet-signalement.gouv.fr) and to the OFMIN (Office for minors);
- to the NCMEC (National Center for Missing & Exploited Children) for matters outside France, in line with the obligations applicable to online platforms.
Anyone can also report content directly to these organisations, independently of a report made in the app.
07Who toGæther is for
toGæther is reserved for students: access is always tied to a partner school and, in most cases, to a student association.
Use of the platform is reserved for people aged 15 and over. Between 15 and 18, creating an account requires the consent of a legal guardian. An account held by someone under 15 is suspended or deleted as soon as we become aware of it — see our Terms of Use.
