The treasury software for student associations
An accurate balance, a receipt attached to every line, and a financial year the next board can pick up without calling the former treasurer.

An association's treasury kept up to date as you go
A student union (BDE) rarely gets its accounts wrong because of arithmetic. It goes wrong because of a lost receipt, a transfer nobody can explain any more, a spreadsheet only the treasurer can read. toGaether replaces that spreadsheet with a ledger where every entry carries its category and its receipt.
The balance on screen is the one the board reads and, if the association is attached to an institution, the one the student life office reads too. There is a single version of the accounts, available at any point in the financial year.

How it works
Record
Every item of income and expenditure, sorted by category.
Back up
The receipt or invoice is attached to the line.
Track
The balance and the budget can be read day by day.
Close
Year-end report and FEC export for the general meeting.
Expense claims approved without chasing receipts
A member who pays out of pocket photographs the receipt on their phone and enters the amount. The board approves in two clicks, and the reimbursement is tracked through to the bank transfer. Claims without a receipt stay visible until they are put right.
A financial year that survives the handover
A term of office lasts one year; the accounts have to last longer. At the handover, the new treasurer finds the full history, the supporting documents and the exports from previous years, without depending on a file left on a predecessor's laptop.
The FEC export covers the whole financial year in the format expected by an accountant or during an audit.

Who is this association accounting software for?
First, the treasurer who takes up the role with no accounting training: entries are recorded in plain language, by category, with no chart of accounts to learn on day one. Next, the president, who wants to know the real balance before committing to an expense. Lastly, the school, which needs to be able to check that a grant was spent on what it was awarded for.
An association that is just starting can bring its history with it: members, events and past entries can be imported, so the financial year does not begin on a blank page.
Frequently asked questions
Is the treasury software free for a student association?
Yes. All management features, treasury included, are free for associations and students. Only institutions take out a subscription, priced on quotation.
Can the accounts be sent to an accountant?
Yes. The financial year can be exported in FEC format, the French standard file of accounting entries, which any accounting firm can import.
Can the school see the association's treasury?
When the association is attached to an institution that uses toGaether, the board and the school read the same balance. That is what makes it possible to review a grant application without exchanging spreadsheets.
