01Purpose and acceptance of the Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (hereinafter the "Terms") govern access to and use of the toGæther platform, available on the togaether.me website and through the toGaether mobile applications for iOS and Android (hereinafter together "the Platform").
toGæther is an association management and administration platform for higher education, providing tools for:
- Institution administrations: oversight, financial steering, centralised administrative management
- Student associations: event management, ticketing, finances, generation of legal documents
- Students: access to events, services and campus association life
By creating an account or using toGæther, you accept these Terms without reservation. If you do not accept these terms, you may not use the Platform.
Important: We recommend that you read these Terms carefully and keep a copy. You can download or print them at any time from this page.
02Definitions
Platform / toGæther: the website available at togaether.me and the toGaether mobile applications for iOS and Android, together with the services offered through them
User / You: any natural or legal person accessing or using the Platform
Account: the personal space created by a User upon registration
Association: an association under the French law of 1901 registered on the Platform
Event: any gathering, activity or service organised through the Platform
User Content: any content published by a User (text, images, videos, documents, etc.)
Services: all the features offered by toGæther
03Access to the Platform and registration
3.1. Free access
Access to the toGæther home page and information pages is free of charge. Full use of the Services requires the creation of an Account.
3.2. Registration requirements
To register on toGæther, you must:
- Be at least 15 years old and, if you are between 15 and 18, have the consent of your legal representative
- Be affiliated with a partner higher-education institution
- Provide accurate, up-to-date and complete information
- Have a valid email address
- Accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy
By creating an Account, you declare that you meet this age requirement and, if you are between 15 and 18, that you have the consent of your legal representative. You may be asked to make this declaration expressly when registering. toGæther may suspend or delete any Account whose holder does not meet these requirements.
3.3. Account creation
When registering, you must choose a secure password. You are solely responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.
Any use of your Account is presumed to be made by you. In the event of theft or fraudulent use, you must immediately notify us at security@togaether.me.
3.4. Verification and validation
We reserve the right to verify the information provided and to refuse or suspend any registration in the event of inaccurate, incomplete or fraudulent information.
04Description of the Services
4.1. Services for Associations
- Event management: creation, promotion and ticketing of events
- Financial management: budget tracking, accounting, membership fee management
- Administrative management: automatic generation of legal documents (minutes, reports, articles of association)
- Member management: roles, permissions, approval workflow
- Analytics: attendance statistics, financial performance
4.2. Services for Administrations
- Oversight and validation of associations and events
- Dashboard for steering association life
- Generation of administrative reports and exports
- Centralised management of legal compliance
4.3. Services for Students
- Access to campus event ticketing
- Booking of association services
- Discovery of the institution's associations
- Participation in association life
4.4. Evolution of the Services
We reserve the right to develop, modify or suspend all or part of the Services, temporarily or permanently, without notice. We will endeavour to inform you in the event of a substantial change.
05Obligations and prohibitions
5.1. Proper use
You agree to use toGæther fairly and in accordance with these Terms. In particular, it is prohibited to:
- Use the Platform for illegal or fraudulent purposes or purposes contrary to public order
- Impersonate another person or organisation
- Create multiple accounts for the same natural person
- Share your login credentials with third parties
- Attempt to access other Users' data
- Circumvent the Platform's security measures
5.2. Technical prohibitions
It is strictly prohibited to:
- Use bots, scripts, scrapers or any automated tool to access the Platform
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the source code
- Introduce viruses, malware or any malicious code
- Overload or disrupt toGæther's servers or networks (DDoS attacks, spam, etc.)
- Extract or massively collect data from the Platform
5.3. Respect for the community
You agree to:
- Respect other Users and maintain courteous interactions
- Not publish discriminatory, hateful, violent, pornographic or defamatory content
- Not harass, threaten or intimidate other Users
- Respect the intellectual property rights of others
- Report any inappropriate content or behaviour
06User Content and intellectual property
6.1. Your ownership
You retain full intellectual property over the content you publish on toGæther (text, images, videos, documents, association logos, etc.).
6.2. Licence granted to toGæther
By publishing User Content on the Platform, you grant toGæther a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free and transferable licence to:
- Host, store, reproduce and display your content on the Platform
- Distribute your content to other Users according to your visibility settings
- Technically adapt your content (image compression, format conversion, etc.)
- Promote toGæther using anonymised examples or with your express consent
This licence ends when you delete your content or your Account, subject to a reasonable period for the effective deletion of backups.
6.3. Warranties and liability
You warrant that:
- You hold all the necessary rights to the content you publish
- Your content does not infringe any third-party rights (intellectual property, image rights, etc.)
- Your content does not contain unlawful or defamatory statements
You are solely responsible for the User Content you publish. toGæther cannot be held liable for content published by Users.
6.4. Moderation and removal
We reserve the right to moderate, remove or refuse any User Content that violates these Terms or applicable law, without notice or compensation.
6.5. toGæther's intellectual property
The toGæther Platform (source code, design, logo, trademark, visual identity, database, etc.) is protected by intellectual property rights. Any unauthorised reproduction, representation or exploitation is prohibited and constitutes infringement punishable under the French Intellectual Property Code.
§6 bis. Content and conduct: zero tolerance
toGæther applies zero tolerance to objectionable content and abusive Users, on the website and in the toGaether mobile applications for iOS and Android alike. This article supplements articles 5.3 and 6.4.
6 bis.1. Prohibited content and conduct
The following are prohibited in particular, wherever they are published (post, comment, message, photo, gallery, event, profile, association page):
- hateful or discriminatory content, and any glorification of or incitement to violence, terrorism or crime;
- harassment, threats, intimidation and disparagement of a person or group;
- violent or shocking content;
- pornographic content and any distribution, without the consent of the person concerned, of intimate or sexual images or content;
- any content or conduct harmful to minors, in particular their sexualisation or exploitation;
- identity theft, fraud, spam and the disclosure of other people's personal data without their consent.
6 bis.2. Reporting and blocking
Reporting and blocking tools are available on the website and in the applications. In the applications, you can report a photo or a message directly from the screen where it is displayed. On the website and in the applications alike, you can block another User and report any content or account from the contact page ("Report content or an account" topic) or by email at support@togaether.me.
6 bis.3. Handling of reports
toGæther reviews every report. Where reported content breaches these Terms or the law, toGæther removes it and takes appropriate action against its author's account within 24 business hours of the report.
toGæther may also remove content or restrict an account on its own initiative, and informs the competent authorities of manifestly unlawful content reported to it, in the cases provided for by law.
6 bis.4. Suspension and exclusion
Depending on the seriousness or repetition of the breaches, toGæther may issue a warning to the User, suspend their Account or permanently exclude them from the Platform, without notice or compensation. An excluded User undertakes not to create a new Account. These measures apply without prejudice to any legal action that toGæther or the injured parties may bring.
07Payments, transactions and invoicing
7.1. Free and paid services
Basic use of toGæther is free of charge. Certain services may be subject to fees (premium options, ticketing commissions, etc.). The applicable prices can be viewed on the Platform.
7.2. Secure payments via HelloAsso
Payments on toGæther (ticketing, membership fees, donations) are processed by our provider HelloAsso, a French payment platform dedicated to associations.
- Accepted payment methods: Visa, Mastercard and American Express cards
- Payments secured by 3D Secure (strong authentication)
- Your banking details are never transmitted to or stored by toGæther
7.3. Prices and VAT
All prices displayed are in euros (€) and include VAT where applicable. Prices may be changed at any time, but transactions already completed are not affected.
7.4. Invoicing
An electronic invoice is automatically generated and sent by email for each transaction. You can also download your invoices from your Account area.
7.5. Refunds
Refund conditions depend on the policy set by the organiser of each event:
- Some events allow cancellation and refunds up to a certain date
- Others may offer non-refundable tickets
- Refund conditions are clearly stated before the purchase is confirmed

7.6. Fund management for Associations
Funds collected by associations through toGæther (ticketing, membership fees, donations) are paid out to them by HelloAsso, under HelloAsso's terms.
08Liability and warranties
8.1. Service provided "as is"
toGæther is provided "as is" and "as available". We strive to ensure the availability and reliability of the Platform, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or fully secure operation.
8.2. Availability
We reserve the right to temporarily suspend access to all or part of the Platform for maintenance, updates or in cases of force majeure. We will endeavour to limit the duration and frequency of these interruptions.
8.3. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, toGæther cannot be held liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages (loss of profits, data, opportunities, etc.)
- User Content published by Users
- Interactions between Users (disputes, fraud, etc.)
- Events organised through the Platform (cancellations, incidents, accidents, etc.)
- Malfunctions attributable to third parties (HelloAsso, Firebase, internet providers, etc.)
- Cases of force majeure (natural disasters, large-scale cyberattacks, war, etc.)
8.4. Liability cap
In any event, our liability is limited to the total amount you have paid to toGæther during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to liability, or to 100 euros if no payment has been made.
8.5. Associations' liability
Associations are solely responsible for the events they organise, their legal compliance, the necessary authorisations, the safety of attendees and compliance with their tax and social obligations.
09Term and termination
9.1. Term of the contract
These Terms are entered into for an indefinite period from the date of your registration and remain in force for as long as you use the Platform.
9.2. Termination by the User
You may request the deletion of your Account at any time: in the mobile application (Settings › Data, by pressing and holding the "Delete my account" button), on the website (Settings › Data) or by writing to us at support@togaether.me. Deletion takes effect after a period of 30 days, during which you can cancel your request, subject to legal retention obligations.
9.3. Termination by toGæther
We reserve the right to suspend or delete your Account, with or without notice, in the following cases:
- Violation of these Terms or of the Privacy Policy
- Fraudulent or abusive use of the Platform
- Prolonged inactivity of your Account (more than 3 years without logging in)
- Request from a competent authority
- Harm to toGæther's image, reputation or interests
9.4. Consequences of termination
In the event of termination, you immediately lose access to your Account and your data. Your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy, except where retention is legally required (invoices, transactions, etc.).
10Changes to the Terms of Use
We may amend these Terms at any time to reflect changes in our services, in legislation or in our business practices.
In the event of a substantial change, we will inform you by email and/or by notification on the Platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
Continuing to use toGæther after the new Terms take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept the new terms, you must stop using the Platform and delete your Account.
11Governing law and dispute resolution
11.1. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with French law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
11.2. Prior mediation
In the event of a dispute, we invite you to contact us first at legal@togaether.me to seek an amicable solution.
11.3. Consumer mediation
In accordance with Article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code, if you are a consumer, you have the right to use a consumer mediator free of charge in the event of a dispute:

11.4. Competent courts
Failing an amicable resolution, any dispute relating to these Terms will be submitted to the competent courts of the publisher's registered office, unless mandatory rules of civil procedure provide otherwise.
If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings before the court of your place of residence.
11.5. European Online Dispute Resolution platform
In accordance with Regulation (EU) No 524/2013, you may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform available at: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
12General provisions
12.1. Entire agreement
These Terms, supplemented by the Privacy Policy and the Cookies Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and toGæther regarding the use of the Platform.
12.2. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is declared invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. The invalid provision will be replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects the original intent.
12.3. Waiver
toGæther's failure to exercise a right provided for in these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
12.4. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights and obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. toGæther may freely assign its rights and obligations.
